Operations division
The Operations division is tasked with SFMA’s entire support process management.
The sections and groups and the processes for which they are responsible are described below.
Human Resources
Human Resources acts as the SFMA divisions’ strategic and service partner for all HR-related tasks. It coordinates, oversees and supports the supervision areas in the entire range of operational and strategic HR processes, as well as being the point of contact and advice centre for employees and management staff.
Information and Communication Technologies
The Information and Communication Technologies section is tasked with all the divisions’ ICT concerns, providing optimal support of their business processes by enhancing and ensuring the quality of all SFMA’s telecommunications infrastructure. It manages SFMA’s data and oversees the SFMA-wide portfolio for organisational and infrastructure projects. It also coordinates the further development of IT systems and supports SFMA’s other divisions in their procurement and contracting activities.
Finance
The Finance section ensures annual headcount and financial planning, regular financial controlling and reporting and annual financial reporting. It is also responsible for liquidity planning in connection with the levying of fees and charges. An audit of the SFMA annual financial statements, which are prepared in accordance with the IFRS accounting standard, is performed once a year by the Swiss Federal Audit Office.
Facility Management and Purchasing
The Facility Management and Purchasing section ensures the management of documents and maintenance of buildings for SFMA. It operates the reception desk and telephone switchboard and manages the meeting rooms. In addition, it is tasked with resource and environmental management. Measures and precautions connected to physical safety at SFMA are also part of its duties.
Processes, Security and Governance
The Processes, Security and Governance section is tasked with operational governance for SFMA’s operational processes, continuously developing them and monitoring their efficiency. It manages the processes as a whole and operates the internal control system (ICS). It ensures information security and ICT security for SFMA and is tasked with business continuity management and data governance.
Digital Strategy
The Digital Strategy group drives the digital transformation and is tasked with the ongoing development and implementation of SFMA’s digital strategy. It is the central point of contact for digital topics.
